Consider a rectangle defined by its vertices at (x1,y1)(x_1, y_1), (x2,y2)(x_2, y_2), (x3,y3)(x_3, y_3), and (x4,y4)(x_4, y_4). To reflect this rectangle over the line y=0y = 0, you will transform each vertex as follows: (x1,y1),(x2,y2),(x3,y3),(x4,y4).(x_1, -y_1), \quad (x_2, -y_2), \quad (x_3, -y_3), \quad (x_4, -y_4). This transformation effectively involves taking each y-coordinate and multiplying it by 1-1.
